Decide what the travel pair needs to do
A spare everyday pair, a dedicated reading pair and a separate tinted outdoor pair solve different problems. Start with the task rather than buying a second frame simply because it looks different.
Use the current eyeglass prescription supplied for that purpose. If the prescription includes an ADD or you are unsure which values apply, ask before ordering. Fast Eyeglasses currently makes single vision lenses; bifocals and progressives are not available here yet.
Choose a frame you can compare confidently
Use a comfortable existing pair as a reference for lens width, bridge width and temple length. Check the bridge design and proportions too. An unfamiliar frame is not guaranteed to fit like your current one merely because the lens width is close.
For a spare that you may need while away, fit is as important as style. Our current-pair comparison guide helps you check the details before ordering.
Compare clear, tinted and light-adaptive choices
The $79 everyday base includes standard plastic single vision lenses. A solid tint adds $20, making that configuration $99 before prescription charges or further options. Polycarbonate adds $15 separately; polycarbonate plus solid tint is $114 before other charges.
A light-adaptive lens is a different option from a fixed tint. If darkening behind a car windshield is important, contact us before selecting photochromic or Transitions lenses; supplier performance in the car has not been confirmed for the listed choices.
Compare prescription sunglasses configurations, photochromic prices and backup pairs based on the job you want each pair to do.
Leave room for production and carrier transit
Most basic pairs ship within 2 business days. That is a shipment estimate, not a two-day arrival promise. Carrier transit comes afterward, and optional lenses may have different production timing.
Confirm timing before ordering for a departure date. We ship online orders with free shipping to Michigan, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. Check the delivery address and plan to receive and inspect the order before leaving rather than assuming an unfamiliar destination is supported.
Keep the order information and a spare organized
Save your order reference and the frame, size, color and lens selections. Keep a readable copy of your current prescription available if you need to discuss a replacement later. Use a case and a predictable place for a spare pair so it is easy to find.
A spare is a separate purchase, and there is no automatic travel or second-pair discount promised here. If glasses go missing, use our lost-glasses replacement checklist rather than rebuilding the prescription from memory.
Before payment, review the complete price and custom-order return terms. Read the second-pair guide to decide whether the next pair adds a useful purpose.
Common buying questions
Can you guarantee arrival before my trip?
No departure-date guarantee is made here. Contact us to confirm timing before paying; production and carrier transit are separate.
Is a travel pair a special lens type?
No. Choose the eyeglass prescription and lens options supplied for your intended use. Travel describes the situation, not a prescription type.
Can I order a spare in a different style?
Yes, but compare its measurements and bridge design before purchase. A different style does not automatically fit like your existing pair.
