Tell the provider when you need to wear the glasses
“I leave on Thursday morning” is a more useful deadline than “I need fast shipping.” Start with the date you need a usable pair in hand, then ask whether the provider can supply your exact frame and prescription by then. A lab finishing a job in one day does not put the parcel at your door that day.
Fast Eyeglasses is against treating a one-day lab turnaround as a 24-hour delivery promise. Our labs often finish individual jobs in about one working day, but order review, materials, job complexity, final checks, dispatch and carrier transit can add time. Most basic pairs ship within two business days; that is a shipping estimate, not an arrival guarantee. We try our best and communicate the practical timeline.
Choose the route that matches the deadline
If you need glasses today or tomorrow, call a local optical provider about an in-stock frame, eligible lenses and a confirmed pickup time. Some orders may qualify; do not assume every prescription or coating can. Ask about the complete finished pair and any required review before paying or travelling.
If you can allow production plus transit, an online order may suit the plan. Read the shipping policy and tell the store about the deadline before ordering. Many online orders cannot arrive in 24 hours, and an expedited carrier service still starts after the parcel is dispatched.
Prepare a small information packet
- Your complete, current eyeglass prescription, with clear right- and left-eye values.
- Your measured PD and any required near-PD information for the intended order.
- The exact frame, color and size you want, plus a comfortable current pair for fit comparison.
- The lens choices you need, rather than an unfinished frame-only quote.
- An eligible delivery address and an email address you can check for clarification requests.
Do not guess unclear values to save a few minutes. A correction after payment can take longer than asking a question first. Uploading a prescription does not mean the order has already passed review.
Keep a backup plan separate from the new purchase
If a current pair is usable, keep it protected while arranging the replacement. If it is damaged, ask a local professional whether a repair or adjustment is appropriate. Do not drive or do hazardous work if your vision is inadequate; arrange another way to manage the deadline.
For a future backup pair, choose fit and a suitable prescription before comparing a discount. See what 24-hour eyeglasses claims can mean, our ordering checklist and the custom-order terms. Clear expectations are more useful than a rush label that does not cover your actual order.
