Choose around the order you need
Four places to investigate for children’s glasses
| Retailer | What to investigate | Before paying |
|---|---|---|
| Zenni Optical | Kids’ catalog, frame measurements and lens choices | Confirm the selected frame and prescribed lenses work together |
| Eyebuydirect | Children’s frame collection and configurable lenses | Check the size and full lens quote |
| Warby Parker | Dedicated kids’ frame collection | Confirm the chosen frame’s dimensions and available support |
| Fast Eyeglasses | Kids’ frames for eligible corrective single-vision orders | Delivery is limited to MI, DE, OR and MT; custom-order return terms apply |
Start with the official Zenni kids’ collection, Eyebuydirect kids’ collection and Warby Parker kids’ collection. Our own children’s catalog provides another option. A children’s category helps narrow a search; it does not establish that every frame fits your child.
Use the current pair as a reference, then check the whole fit
Record the lens width, bridge and temple length printed on a comfortable existing pair. Compare the new frame’s dimensions and shape, while remembering that identical printed measurements do not guarantee identical fit. A bridge that slips or temples that press can matter more than the color a child chose.
Ask how you will get hands-on help if the fit is uncertain. A virtual preview can help with appearance, but it cannot confirm how the bridge rests or whether the arms create pressure. For a first pair, a difficult fit or a changing prescription, ask the child’s eye-care professional what support the order needs.
Our kids’ frame guide provides a starting checklist. Include the child in the style choice after establishing a suitable size range, rather than asking them to choose from the entire catalog.
Compare the actual lens specification
Bring the complete current eyeglass prescription and the appropriate measured PD. Ask the provider about the lens material and any other specifications for your child, then confirm the retailer can supply that order. Do not delete cylinder values or guess a missing number to get through checkout.
Keep ordinary glasses separate from sports protection. A flexible frame, scratch-resistant coating or impact-resistant lens description alone does not establish that the complete pair meets a particular sports or safety standard. Ask for the documented specification required for the activity.
Compare both lenses, material, coatings and any prescription charges in the final quote. A frame-only price and a completed prescription pair are different purchase totals.
Where Fast Eyeglasses fits the comparison
Our everyday complete pairs start at $79 with a frame and standard CR-39 single-vision lenses. Polycarbonate adds $15, making that configuration $94 before other options or applicable prescription charges. Material suitability should be discussed for the actual child and order.
We ship only to Michigan, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. Most basic pairs ship within two business days, with carrier transit after shipment. We do not currently offer progressive, bifocal or prism orders.
Custom prescription orders are not returnable for a change of mind, style or fit. Read our return terms before ordering. Optional name-and-phone engraving costs $18 and allows up to 20 characters including spaces and punctuation; it is not a guarantee against loss.
Compare your shortlist with the wider guide
Our 10-place online glasses comparison offers a broader shortlist. Use it to choose two or three stores, then compare the same prescription, frame dimensions, lens features and complete price. Keep the final quote and policy together so the decision remains clear after a sale banner changes.
Common shopping questions
Is there one best online glasses store for every child?
No. Frame fit, prescription eligibility, lens specifications, available fitting help and return terms can change which seller suits the order.
Are ordinary children’s prescription glasses sports goggles?
Do not assume so. Verify the documented standard for the complete frame-and-lens system required for the activity.
