Start with the twenty-character limit
For kids’ prescription glasses with a name and phone number, write the exact proposed engraving before choosing the order. Fast Eyeglasses’ engraved-temple option allows up to twenty characters, including spaces and punctuation.
For example, BRIAN 248-555-0146 is eighteen characters. That is an illustrative name and fictional phone number, not customer information. Count the exact text you intend to use rather than copying this sample.
A short first name and an adult contact number can fit where a full name and extra message do not. Avoid adding a home address or a child’s own private contact details when a brief adult contact line serves the purpose.
Ask about the actual temple before ordering
The available option is temple engraving. Ask us to confirm placement, space and suitability for the selected frame if you want a particular inside-arm position or a longer contact line.
A product photograph or an illustrative engraving image is not a proof of the finished text on every frame. Keep the exact wording and any placement question with your order conversation.
Do not scrape off a manufacturer’s marking or engrave the frame yourself to create more space. If the wording will not fit, shorten it or ask before paying for a custom pair.
Proofread it like a small permanent label
Read the phone number aloud one digit at a time and compare it with the intended adult contact number. Ask another adult to check it when possible. A familiar number can still be mistyped.
Keep the text simple: the checkout accepts letters, numbers, spaces and basic punctuation. If you need a symbol or lettering style not shown in the option, contact us before ordering.
Engraving is an identification detail, not a tracking device or a guarantee that a lost pair will be returned. Keep the glasses and their case in a consistent place as part of the child’s routine.
Get the prescription and fit right first
Choose a frame using checked measurements and the child’s current appropriate prescription. Engraving does not make an oversized frame fit or supply the needed lens correction. Our children’s glasses guide explains the broader purchase.
The engraving option adds $18. An everyday $79 base pair plus engraving gives a $97 example before other lens upgrades or applicable stronger-prescription charges. Compare the final checkout configuration.
Read custom-order return terms and our general engraving guide. We currently sell complete corrective single-vision pairs; a separate accessories category and fully nonprescription plano pairs are not available.
