Start with the frame proportions
Rectangular frames are often grouped under one style label, but their proportions vary. Lens width, lens height, bridge design and the thickness of the rim affect the outline and fit. The category name alone does not tell you whether the front is narrow or wide.
Find the three numbers inside a comfortable pair’s temple arm. Use them as a starting point when comparing product pages, then look at the bridge and overall front. Do not assume similar lens widths guarantee the same fit.
Compare real rectangular frame measurements
| Frame | Material | Lens–bridge–temple, mm | Color options |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admire | Plastic | 50-17-135 | Burgundy, Black, Brown |
| Advice | Plastic | 53-18-135 | Black/Olive, Black/Mauve, Black/Purple |
| Affiliate | Plastic | 55-20-145 | Navy, Black, Brown |
| Agent | Metal | 56-17-140 | Gunmetal, Black, Brown |
These models share the $79 everyday base-pair price with standard single vision lenses. Measurements are frame dimensions, not a guarantee of fit. Review your chosen color, size and lens options on the product page.
Check the bridge and arms along with lens width
Admire has a 50 mm lens opening and a 17 mm bridge. Advice is 53 / 18 / 135 mm; Affiliate is 55 / 20 / 145 mm. Agent has a 56 mm lens opening with a 17 mm bridge. The complete measurement set helps show how different these rectangle options are.
Agent is metal, while the other models in the table are plastic. Material does not guarantee a particular weight or adjustment range. If a nose-pad arrangement, alloy or other construction detail matters, ask us to confirm the individual model.
Compare color and lens purpose separately
A black rectangle, a navy rectangle and a multi-color design can create different looks without changing your prescription. Confirm the exact selected color on the frame page before adding the pair to your cart.
Use the eyeglass prescription supplied for your intended distance or reading purpose. A rectangle is a frame style, not a lens type. For reading use, compare our single vision reading options; for an outdoor pair, see solid-tinted prescription configurations.
Review the complete-pair cost
The everyday base price is $79 for a frame and standard plastic single vision lenses. Polycarbonate adds $15 and high-index 1.67 adds $45. Coatings, tints and prescription-strength charges are separate. Review the complete total for the choices you need before paying.
Browse the rectangle collection, compare metal frame choices, or use the online frame-selection guide to organize your decision.
Finish with the ordering checklist
Use a current eyeglass prescription and your own PD for the intended lens purpose. At checkout, you can enter the prescription, upload a clear image or PDF, or provide both. Check that any typed values agree with the document. Contact us before ordering if the prescription includes an ADD; bifocals and progressives are not available here yet.
Shipping is free to Michigan, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. Most basic pairs ship within 2 business days; carrier transit follows. Optional lenses may take longer. Custom prescription pairs do not have change-of-mind, style or fit returns. Read the remake and refund policy before payment, and report qualifying errors, defects or shipping damage within 14 days.
Common buying questions
Are rectangular frames always wider than round frames?
No. Compare the individual measurements and front design. Shape names do not establish an overall width ranking.
Can I use a contact lens prescription for these frames?
Use a current eyeglass prescription for an eyeglass order. A contact lens prescription should not be substituted.
