Choose around the order you need
Four retailers and the lens questions to ask
| Retailer | What to investigate | Before paying |
|---|---|---|
| Zenni Optical | Prescription sunglasses and polarized catalog options | Confirm polarization for the selected prescription and frame |
| Warby Parker | Prescription sunglass lens choices | Check the exact lens specification and configuration |
| Eyebuydirect | Prescription sunglasses collection | Compare the selected lenses and completed quote |
| Fast Eyeglasses | Gray or brown solid tint for eligible single vision | Polarized lenses are not selectable at checkout; ask first |
Review the official Zenni prescription sunglasses and polarized collection, Warby Parker sunglass lens page and Eyebuydirect prescription sunglasses. Build a shortlist from what is available for your order, rather than the appearance of the model photo.
Keep four separate lens questions on the comparison sheet
Write separate lines for tint, the documented UV specification, polarization and light-adaptive behavior. Do not infer one from another. If a retailer’s description is unclear, ask for the specification of the exact lens configuration before buying.
For a fishing trip, check the selected lens rather than assuming a brown tint means polarized. Our polarized vs. tinted fishing glasses guide helps organize those questions. At Fast Eyeglasses, selecting solid tint does not order a polarized lens.
If you want light-adaptive lenses for driving, ask about behavior behind the windshield. Do not assume an outdoor activation description also guarantees the result inside your vehicle. A separately tinted prescription pair and a light-adaptive everyday pair are different configurations to compare.
Choose a frame for the actual use
Compare the frame’s measurements with a comfortable existing pair and consider the coverage you want. Ask whether the prescribed lenses can be supplied in the selected frame. A wraparound appearance does not establish that the prescription is eligible or that the complete pair meets an impact standard.
For biking or other activities involving a helmet, check the actual combination for fit. For work, shooting or a sport with a protective-eyewear requirement, verify the documented standard for the complete system. Ordinary prescription sunglasses are not a substitute for that check.
Our hiking and camping lens checklist covers additional questions for an outdoor pair. Keep the prescription and frame requirements ahead of optional cosmetic choices.
Compare complete prices and delivery terms
Fast Eyeglasses everyday pairs start at $79. Gray or brown solid tint adds $20, making $99 before other upgrades or applicable stronger-prescription charges. We currently offer eligible corrective single-vision orders; fully nonprescription orders, progressives, bifocals and prism orders are not enabled.
Polarized lenses are not currently selectable at our checkout. If polarization is essential, contact us to confirm availability and terms before ordering. Do not select ordinary tint expecting it to be changed automatically.
We ship to Michigan, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. Most basic pairs ship within two business days; carrier transit follows. Compare the actual arrival estimate when a trip has a deadline, and review our custom prescription return terms. Other retailers’ current quotes and policies may suit a different deadline or a need for fit returns.
Compare your shortlist with the wider guide
Our 10-place online glasses comparison offers a broader shortlist. Use it to choose two or three stores, then compare the same prescription, frame dimensions, lens features and complete price. Keep the final quote and policy together so the decision remains clear after a sale banner changes.
Common shopping questions
Are Fast Eyeglasses gray and brown tints polarized?
No polarization is included by selecting solid tint. Polarized lenses are not selectable at checkout; contact us to confirm availability before ordering.
Does every sunglass frame work with every prescription?
Do not assume so. Confirm the complete prescription, lens design and selected frame with the retailer.
