Make the backup pair useful before you need it
A backup pair of prescription glasses is easier to choose when you are not already dealing with a broken frame or a lost pair. For Montana shoppers ordering online, the practical advantage is having another wearable pair ready while a new order is being made and delivered.
Fast Eyeglasses ships throughout Montana, including Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls and Helena, as well as rural addresses. This is an online delivery service. Plan ahead for the address and date that matter to you rather than assuming a package can arrive immediately.
A backup should be comfortable for a full day
A frame you dislike wearing will spend more time in a drawer than on your face. Start with the fit of your main pair: lens width, bridge width, temple length and how the bridge sits. You can change the color while keeping similar proportions.
Our second-pair guide helps you give the extra pair a clear purpose. If the main pair is comfortable, use the current-pair fit checklist before exploring a different shape.
Decide whether it replaces your everyday pair
An everyday backup should serve the same prescription purpose as the pair it will replace. A separately prescribed reading pair can be useful too, but it does a different job. Do not copy a distance prescription and alter the numbers to make your own reading prescription.
Use a current eyeglass prescription for the intended lens purpose. We currently fill single vision orders. Bifocals and progressives are not available yet, so contact us if your prescription contains an ADD or you are unsure which order is appropriate.
Plan delivery to the address where you will receive it
For a rural address, include the full mailing address and any unit information the carrier needs. If you will be away, choose a reliable receiving address before checkout. A workplace or temporary destination should be an address where you have permission to receive packages.
Montana shipping is free. Most basic pairs ship within 2 business days; carrier transit is additional. The production estimate does not promise a particular arrival date in Billings, a smaller town or a rural area. Read the shipping policy and contact us before ordering around a firm deadline.
Keep everyday glasses separate from required eye protection
A spare everyday pair is not automatically suitable for hazardous work or sports. If you need protective eyewear, check the task and your employer’s requirements before choosing. Do not infer a safety rating from a frame photo or from a lens material alone.
Our prescription safety glasses guide explains the questions to ask. For an everyday backup, compare the finished cost, including optional upgrades and prescription surcharges, in your cart. Continue with the Montana buying guide or browse glasses delivered to Montana.
