How to order glasses online with a prescription upload

A clear prescription upload can make ordering easier. Prepare the document, confirm your PD and review the actual order details before paying.

Use the right prescription document

Start with your current eyeglass prescription supplied for the purpose you want, such as single vision distance or reading. A contact lens prescription is a different document and should not be substituted.

Keep the whole document readable. Include both eye rows and any notes rather than cropping the image down to one number. If something is faded, missing or unclear, ask the prescribing office for a readable copy. Do not reconstruct a number from memory.

Make the upload easy to read

Photograph the prescription in even light, with the page flat and the camera facing it directly. Avoid glare, shadows, fingers covering the page and a tilted image. Open the saved file yourself to check that the numbers and plus or minus signs are readable.

A PDF supplied by your eye-care office is another option. Upload the prescription file, not an unrelated screenshot, payment document or identity document.

Fast Eyeglasses checkout accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, HEIF or PDF files up to 8 MB. If a file exceeds the limit, make a smaller readable copy and check it again before uploading.

Choose your frame and lenses first

Compare frame measurements with a pair that fits comfortably, choose your color and size, then review lens options. The $79 everyday base includes standard plastic single vision lenses. Optional materials, coatings and tints add to the complete price.

After you add a pair to the cart, continue to the prescription step. You can enter your prescription, upload a clear file, or provide both. If you provide both, check that the typed values agree with the document. Do not use one set of numbers to overwrite an unclear or conflicting prescription without checking.

An upload does not replace the PD check

Look for a PD measurement on your prescription. If it is not there, get your own measurement confirmed before finishing the order. The numbers printed inside your frame describe the frame size; they are not your PD.

If your prescription includes an ADD, contact us before ordering. Fast Eyeglasses currently offers single vision lenses; bifocals and progressives are not available here yet. Use our PD guide and prescription label guide when checking the document.

Review the upload and total before paying

Make sure the intended file is selected, the prescription and PD information is complete, and your frame and lens choices are correct. Review any calculated prescription charge and the complete total. Check your shipping address and email as well.

Do not continue if the checkout reports that the file is too large or the information is incomplete. Correct the issue or ask us for help. Uploading a file alone is not a completed purchase.

Read the full buying checklist and return terms before payment. Prescription pairs are custom-made, so style and fit choices should be checked before the order is placed.
