Check the ordinary camera preview
For prescription glasses for video calls, start with the lights you normally use. Look for the desk lamp, window, screen or ring light reflected in the lenses. Note which reflection actually bothers you.
Change one normal lighting angle at a time and compare the preview again. Keep the camera at a position you can use comfortably rather than holding your head awkwardly to hide a reflection.
A clean lens makes the comparison more useful. Follow normal glasses-cleaning guidance; do not use a harsh treatment to remove or change a coating yourself.
Know what anti-reflective coating does
Anti-reflective coating is designed to reduce lens-surface reflections. It does not make lenses invisible in every lighting arrangement, and it does not remove a lamp reflected on the monitor itself.
Blue-light filtering and lens tint are separate features. A blue or green reflected color in a photograph does not establish a filtering percentage, medical benefit or performance guarantee.
Our coating comparison explains the broader choice. The gaming reflection guide covers a related camera and screen setup.
Compare a coating in the complete order
Standard anti-reflective coating adds $35 at Fast Eyeglasses, and Crizal Easy adds $50. On an everyday $79 base pair with no other additions, those examples total $114 and $129 respectively.
Other materials, options and applicable stronger-prescription charges can change the total. Compare the actual configuration rather than selecting a coating from the headline price alone.
No option here is promised to make you look a particular way on every camera. A useful buying decision combines the prescribed lens, frame fit and the lighting you actually use.
Keep the screen task and prescription in view
If the pair is mainly for a computer, ask your eye-care professional which prescription suits the working distance. Do not assume your reading or distance pair needs the same numbers.
We currently make eligible corrective single-vision lenses, with no bifocals, progressives, prism or fully nonprescription plano pairs. Our working-distance comparison helps organize questions for the provider.
Check frame dimensions and custom prescription return terms before ordering. Fit and style returns are not accepted for custom pairs. Resolve uncertain prescription or camera-use expectations before paying.
Common buying questions
Will anti-reflective coating eliminate every video-call reflection?
No. It reduces lens-surface reflections, but camera and lighting arrangements still matter.
Are blue-light glasses automatically better for video calls?
No such claim is made. Blue-light filtering, prescription power and anti-reflective coating are separate features.
