Start with your prescription and screen distance
Prescription gaming glasses are glasses with lenses prescribed for the way you need to see. The gaming label alone does not tell you whether a pair suits a desk monitor, a television across the room or your eyes. Write down your usual screen distance and tell your eye-care professional how you play before choosing a prescription.
A PC monitor and a living-room television are different viewing tasks. Do not choose a reading power from an online chart or change your prescription to match somebody else’s setup. If you have more than one prescription for different distances, confirm which one belongs in the pair you are ordering.
Fast Eyeglasses currently fills eligible single-vision prescriptions. We do not offer bifocals, progressives or prism lenses. If your prescription includes an ADD or you need several viewing distances, contact us before ordering. Our online glasses buying checklist explains the information to gather.
Choose for the equipment you actually wear
A frame that looks good in a product photo may behave differently under your headset. Compare the lens width, bridge and temple length with a pair that fits you well. Look at the side view, too: the thickness and shape of the arms matter where the ear cushions press.
Measurements are a starting point, not a promise of identical fit. Two frames with the same printed numbers can have different overall widths and shapes. Ask for missing dimensions rather than assuming that “gaming” means slim or headset-compatible.
Our gaming-headset glasses guide walks through pressure points. Our frame comparison guide for gamers covers nose fit, side clearance and everyday use.
Separate prescription, coating and tint
Prescription power, anti-reflective coating and blue-light filtering are separate features. A blue-light filter does not supply a prescription, and a lens advertised as anti-glare is not automatically a blue-light filter. Read the actual lens description before paying for a bundle.
The 2023 Cochrane review of blue-light-filtering lenses found that they may not reduce short-term computer-related eye strain compared with non-filtering lenses; sleep effects were uncertain. That evidence does not support promising better aim, reaction time or rank from glasses.
For the reflection question, use our anti-glare gaming glasses guide. If you stream or edit clips, ask how any tint looks through the lens rather than choosing it from a heavily styled photograph.
Compare the full order before you commit
Include the frame, prescribed lenses, chosen material, coatings, any prescription-strength charge and shipping in your comparison. Fast Eyeglasses everyday pairs start at $79 with standard CR-39 single-vision lenses; optional upgrades cost extra. Our gaming glasses budget guide compares examples.
We currently ship to Michigan, Delaware, Oregon and Montana. Most basic pairs ship within two business days; carrier transit comes afterward. A shipping estimate is not a promise that a pair arrives before your next tournament.
Read the return policy before ordering custom lenses. Change-of-mind, style and fit returns are not accepted for custom prescription pairs. Qualifying errors, defects or damage have separate remedies. Keep your order confirmation and prescription together so you can check what was ordered.
Questions gamers ask
Do I need glasses sold specifically as gaming glasses?
The label is not a prescription or fit guarantee. Compare the prescribed lens, frame dimensions, headset fit and actual options.
Can Fast Eyeglasses make progressive gaming glasses?
We currently offer eligible single-vision prescriptions only, with no bifocals, progressives or prism lenses.
