The name says it: Fast Eyeglasses. Most pairs of single vision prescription glasses we sell are made in one business day and arrive 1 to 2 business days after they ship. Many customers have their new glasses within 2 to 3 business days of ordering, without an appointment or a second trip to pick them up.
How we make fast eyeglasses
We work with a partner lab that's one of the best in the country for quality, affordable eyeglasses, and one of the fastest. Here's what happens after you order:
- You order online. Pick a frame, choose your lenses and enter your prescription and PD, or upload a photo of your prescription.
- We check your order. If you uploaded a prescription, we compare it with the numbers you typed. If anything looks off, we email you before your lenses are made.
- The lab makes your glasses. Orders placed by 5 p.m. Eastern on a weekday usually go into production that same business day. Most frames and single vision lenses are finished in one business day.
- We ship free. Your glasses ship to Michigan, Oregon, Montana or Delaware and usually arrive in 1 to 2 business days. You get a tracking number by email.

The lab works Monday through Friday and closes at 5 p.m. It's closed Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays. So an order placed Friday night or over the weekend goes into production Monday morning. Want your glasses as fast as possible? Order on a weekday before 5 p.m. Eastern.
What can make an order take longer
- Very strong prescriptions or high-index 1.67 lenses
- Transitions and other light-adaptive lenses
- Backordered frames, which are clearly marked on the frame page
- Prescription questions: if we need to confirm a number, production starts when you reply

Fast doesn't have to mean expensive
Fast eyeglasses usually cost more at a store that offers "glasses in about an hour." Ours don't. Every everyday frame is $79 with single vision prescription lenses, safety frames are $149, and shipping is free.
