If women’s glasses often feel too small, a larger lens-width listing can be a starting point. It is not the same as the total width across your face. Compare the whole frame, including the bridge and arms, before deciding that a 55 or 56 mm lens opening solves the problem.
Decide which dimension needs more room
Is the frame tight at the sides, are the arms too short, or do you simply want a larger-looking lens opening? Write down the issue you are trying to change. These goals may point toward different models.
A taller or more prominent outline is a style preference; pressure at the sides is a fit concern. Do not treat them as the same reason to choose the largest frame photograph.
Compare three different larger listings
Alana lists 55–17–140. Eileen lists 56–17–140. Teach lists 56–16–145. Teach has a longer listed arm length but a different bridge number, so the 56 mm models should not be treated as identical fits.
Ask about total front width when you need it. Compare the bridge design in the photos as well as the number. Keep a comfortable existing pair available as a reference.
Choose the outline after checking dimensions
The examples offer square and oval shapes and several mixed or fade finishes. You can look for a larger frame without giving up the style you like, but each model still needs its own comparison.
If you have a stronger prescription or questions about the finished pair, ask about the selected frame and prescription together. A larger photograph cannot tell you the final lens thickness or complete-pair weight.
